I came to know the Callahan’s through their wedding in 2011. Since then we have grown quite close. Before my son came along I told Ryan that if I ever had a son, he would hear stories of Ryan Callahan told from the 1st person perspective. Stories that illustrate exactly what a role model athlete is. I admire Cal, what he’s accomplished – what he has yet to accomplish – his drive, dedication and most of all – humility. The Foundation that he and Kyla started is testament to their deep roots. Roots that are settled in family, compassion, respect and support. I’m so proud of these two!! …and so grateful to be given the privilege to serve as their documentarian.
